Vietnam in the Philippines

Hollywood has recreated the Vietnam War in the Philippines several times over. Aside from Hamburger Hill (1987) and Born on the Fourth of July (1989), the Philippines has famously been host to Francis Ford Coppola's Apocalypse Now. Less than a decade later, Platoon, Oliver Stone's passion play on the war, was filmed in the Philippines while Marcos was being overthrown.
