Proselytizing is forbidden and carries a three-year jail sentence, but so far no one has been indicted. In the past three years, extremist Hindu organizations from India have set up offices in Kathmandu, and hostility towards Christians has been increasing. Militant Hinduists in Nepal intend to force all Christians from the country.
